On October 7, while in Israel, I faced the painful reality of antisemitism firsthand. This traumatic experience acted as a wake-up call, pushing me to reflect on what I could do to strengthen the Jewish people. One of the biggest challenges I saw was the divide among Jews. This realization inspired me to create a unique Magen David design with intentional openings, symbolizing the work needed to unite and complete the star. It’s a powerful reminder that while each of us has a different role to play, our shared mission is to strengthen unity. To deepen this connection, I incorporated the design into the word “Israel,” using a flipped triangle in the “A” to form a Star of David. This symbolizes the inseparable bond between Israel and Jewish identity. My hope is that these pieces will serve as a reminder of our shared responsibility to stay united, especially in the face of rising antisemitism. When we embrace unity, we can overcome even the most difficult challenges, ensuring a strong future for the Jewish people.
